Wooden ceilings give warmth to an office building, school or other public space. One of the disadvantages of solid wood is that it warps and swells; that is not something you want. The Wiggers prefab ceiling frames are a good alternative for solid wooden ceilings. The ceiling frames can be used to fully compose your ceilings by integrating them into your current ceiling system.

Our ceiling frames are built of a basic material (often MDF) and finished with a top layer of veneer or foil. This creates the look of a solid wooden ceiling without having to deal with the disadvantages of real wood. Check out all the possibilities below.

Our prefab ceiling frames consist of a basic rack, finished with a layer of veneer or foil. This gives you the choice from all thicknesses, heights and lengths without being dependent on solid wood. These are the additional advantages:

Noise-dampening

Acoustics are important in office buildings, lecture halls, libraries and other public spaces. The Wiggers ceiling frames dampen the noise and can be easily combined with nonwoven fleece. The application of this fleece above the ceiling frames ensures optimum noise absorption.

Fire-retardant

We can process your ceiling frames in a special way to make sure they meet the B1 class. This process ensures that your ceiling meets the European standards of fire safety. The ceiling frames can also be easily combined with a sprinkler installation.

Ready for installation

We customise the ceiling frames and provide them with hooks. This enables you to hang the frames onto the (system) ceiling with one click and allows you to simply loosen them should that be necessary. We also make recesses for light boxes, if desired. 

All types of wood possible

Our ceiling frames are available in all types (of wood) and colours. Architects often choose for veneer, but a foil in uni-colour or wood-look is also possible. You can also select your own finish, such as lacquered or stained. That is our way to ensure that the ceiling elements are a true fit for your space.

Underlying technique

Wood veneer is cut as a thin layer of wood from a log. And we use our expertise to cover a rack, for example MDF, with this layer of veneer. Read more about the process of veneering here.
