Custom-made prefab window frames for COA buildings
For the COA location in Alphen aan den Rijn, VDL De Meeuw built four residential buildings and two facilities buildings in record time. They had previously finished these with plastic frames, but this time they went for our prefab frame panelling. William van Kessel, superintendent at VDL De Meeuw: “Thanks to Wiggers’ reveals, the interior window frames are neatly finished. It really is an upgrade with a great result.”
Customisation for a tight schedule
“The project required tight planning and speed,” says William van Kessel: “Not all buildings and window frames are the same. That’s why Wiggers' co-makers already accurately measured the dimensions of the window frames in the factory. As a result, the mitres have become truly customised and fit perfectly during assembly.” In addition, the reveals from our EcoProfile are finished with a white finish film by default.
William: “The assembly-ready delivery is the big advantage: you receive the product, you glue it neatly and you're done. I am very satisfied with the quality.”
Involvement
“The communication from Wiggers is very pleasant,” says William van Kessel “They always show up at our projects or in the factory and take the time to discuss any improvements with us. And we have an agreement that they always deliver just a few more products than necessary. That way, if products are damaged, we don’t suffer any delays. It is great when a supplier not only delivers, but is also involved in the process. That gives us confidence and ensures that we can quickly solve any problems together.”
