Monumental building with a modern look
Dekker Kozijnprojecten has relocated to a historic building in Noordeloos. The former residence – an old mill – was completely renovated into a modern office in a short period of time. In the renovation, Dekker wanted to reflect the building's characteristic style in the interior as well. Because we have had a good working relationship for many years, we were asked to participate in the project. Based on the design by the interior designer, we provided custom-made oak-veneer wall panels. Thanks to our fast delivery and in-house production, we were able to meet the tight schedule seamlessly. ‘The end result is fantastic,’ says Piet van den Berg, Head of the Planning Department at Dekker. ‘The product is ready on time, looks great, and presents itself well.’

The panels are prepared as slats with recesses and battens in our factory. This allows Dekker's fitters to install the panels quickly and easily. The base consists of MDF V20, covered with lacquered oak veneer: a choice that ensures a natural wood look and long-lasting quality. The underside of the panels is coated with an extra layer of lacquer to make them resistant to moisture and dirt.
The wall covering is used in several places in the building: in the entrance hall, consultation room, and offices. Thanks to the veneer, the wood structure is clearly visible in all these areas. This means that the walls blend in perfectly with the rest of the interior.
Customisation and long-term collaboration
We have been working with Dekker on a wide range of renovation projects for many years. ‘Our collaboration goes back quite a long way,’ says Piet. ‘At the time, we were looking for a second party to supply our products, but Wiggers met our requirements so well that they have now become our regular supplier. They contribute ideas about lengths and profiles and always deliver exactly what we need.’ That craftsmanship was also evident in the renovation of their new office. ‘It's wonderful to get a product that's ready to use straight away. No matter what shape it is, it always looks great.’
